Yes it is not fiction, that was the OKWs plan, if only Shitler let the pros do their stuff.

First of all the allies had air superiority by that time so they would've eventually landed on Normandy and established a beachhead but they would've lost a lot more men. And even if they Werhmact was to take Moscow, Leningrad and Stanlingrad, they war in the east would not be over because Stalin had moved 100's of factories already towards Yakutsk and other Siberian provinces. The German soldiers would've had to move more East towards Siberia and it would've been a logistical nightmare for them and their supply lines were already stretched thin near Moscow. Furthermore the factories in Siberia production Tanks, Planes, etc were far away from the reach of the Luftwaffe so Germany had no chance of winning. They also would've had to divert troops to North Africa anyways. But even if we take a hypothetical situation where Germany would've had all their full strengthened division either on the eastern or western front, they would've still lost because the Soviet Union and the Western allies had a bigger economy and could produce way more tanks, planes and ships. It's like the other anon said these guys are not people to be admired. They've lost every war they've ever fought, they had 0 long term strategic thinking and even modern day Neo Nazis continue to lose

Also even if we take the historical scenario, if OKW followed Guderian's much more rational plan, than Shitler's piecemeal (auto-excised)giri, the Allies would've either had so intense casualties they would quit or would get bogged down in the bocages trying to breakthough the elastic defenses but getting backhanded by the Panzers which retreat inwards to regroup protected by flak corridors and underground forward fuel reserves made by the concrete that would've instead been the useless and doomed Atlantic wall...
