Recently found out that my baap owned around 200 shares of a company back in 2005, which he bought for a really cheap price. Let's call it company A.
Later that year, that company merged with company B, giving rise to a new company, "C".
The newly formed company C, sent letters/warrants by post to my baap asking him to exercise his rights and claim those shares in company C within a specific timeframe. Those letters were titled:
>"APPLICATION FORM FOR SUBSCRIPTION TO EQUITY SHARES BY WARRANT HOLDER(S) IN TERMS OF SCHEME OF ARRANGEMENT & AMALGAMATION BETWEEN............"
The merger ratio in 2005 was 1:16. Which means my baap could have owned 3200 shares in the new company C. This ratio later changed in late 2010s, and according to the latest merger ratio, anyone who once owned 1 share in company A, now owned 160 shares in company C. Which essentially meant that my baap would have had 32,000 shares in company C.
The limitation to exercise those warrants was December 2005. He, did not claim it because he had "no time" back then, and now that piece of paper is useless and he has no shares in company C because of his one stupidity.
To make things worse, those 32,000 shares are now close to around 4 karodddd rupiyeee.
I COULD HAVE BEEN A SUPER-DUPER RICHIERICHFAG.
But my baap had different plans.
Bohot sad feel hora hai yaaaron. Man kar raha hai ro du. I feel so raped. Bhenchodddd mujhko naa hi pata chalta to zyada theek tha. Ab jab pata laga to bohot rona aara hai.

Koi baat nhi yaar. Chitti/khat ke zamane mein hota rehta tha. Bhot log ke saath hua hai. Maaf karde baap ko
What you're describing is an ideal scenario if things had gone all right. Every person has his own version of if things would have moved along these lines he would be a millionaire now, especially in trading.

Haan yaar sahi baat hai.
It'd have been better if I never got to know this stuff. Better for mental peace.
