req (priority wise)

>3years-5yrs smooth life without having to become a mechanic to use da phone

>call and sms actually goes through instead of an update raping the basic function

>youtube works @720p without hitkitahat

>one browser app

>bhatsapp

>basic camera for doc scanning and boomer uncle selfie

>won't me by some update that is gonna keep it on a bootloop or some other problem raping the phone

will the jio smartphone do it? there are a lot of options now.

Around 7000-8000 there are some samsung A series phones that do have this functionality. But Samsung's software is pretty bad. 6aR

No these things will still work, but samsung phones have a problem that many times the physical power button stops working after 3-4 years.

Get an older android flagship model (Samsung) and jailbreak it.

Many banking and UPI apps don't work on custom ROMS, let alone rooted phones.

4g lte also doesn't work, hotspot sharing also doesn't work on Samsung's running custom software.

Unlocks some functionality like running linux for remote wifi hacking and stuff. Removing glowy software, you can replace samsung logo with Yui photo etc.

Not much use nowadays.

I'm using a Note 10 from 2019. It has one of the best screens(highest PPI for reading books/articles). and you can take notes on it.

Jailbreak is simply because Samsung 1. stops giving out updates 2. You can run pirated apps and custom apps 3. You get full control over your device (you can use custom UI, you can change the voltage etc.)

Also you can remove software you don't want that comes preinstalled only if you jailbreak.

The biggest advantage of old flagships is that you get very good hardware (since the difference between top screens differ very little over time) for little money.

But jailbreaking takes some effort.

Everything works fine for me simply using MAGISK but i dont use hotspot sharing.
