Here's Time I by Wintersun. One of the best symphonic metal albums I've heard, although the band itself I have very mixed feelings about.

I'm looking forward to the sequel album Time II which releases this August.

This one is a bit different. There's a kino heavy metal themed game called Brutal Legend, and it uses a mashup of two songs in one of the missions.

> Holiday by Scorpions

> So Frail by Mirrorthrone

The songs by themselves are excellent. But this mashup transitions between the two excellently.

Non Serviam - Moonsorrow

This is a cover of the original by Rotting Christ. The original is raw and old school symphonic with an addictive riff, it's fucking great, but Moonsorrow uses folk instruments and chorus which really appeals to my more melodic palette.

Stargazer by Blood Stain Child

A catchy af song by a Japanese melodic death metal band who are liberal with electronic and trance in their sound.

I mostly listen to the same shit I was listening to back when I was in school in the 2000s. Been in a mood for industrial metal lately, so a lot of 9 Inch nails, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy etc. Although a lot of these artists aren't really metal, but more EBM.
