It runs without X. For the other points, you need to find a terminal and apps that support it, there are many. It won't be as easy as installing a Flatpak but if you search, you can do it.
If you use Indian languages, font rendering can be a pain in some apps.
Advanced ricing is possible, I never went that far as to change backgrounds in window dynamically depending on app etc or color coding your windows.
Why not just use Hyprland though ?
