Bradman didn't even play what can be considered cricket pajeet. It is like me bringing up 1920 Manchester football team in goat conversation
ABD is undoubtedly the most gifted and raw cricketing talent cricket has ever seen, Sachin himself attested to it. Great fielding and absolutely lethal batting.

It is complex, ABD carried and dragged RCB (with Virat) for many years, and less I say about SA cricket team the better
Sachin and Virat had more support with better teams
ABD is the greatest cricketer cricket has ever seen, and it's cricket's greatest tragedy ABD never got his dues. Watch his legends league final batting, even with a detached retina at 41 his natural brilliance shines through.
If there was ever a perfect batsman in terms of natural ability closest we have js ABD

Lmao Abd played in the golden era of Sa cricket surrounded by greats like Faf du plesis, hashim amla, greame smith, kallis (for many years), QDK, steyn, morkel, philander and many other great players.
South Africa aren't the underdogs of cricket, they are the chokers. Same can be said for RCB. If anyone should be getting extra points for carrying a shit team that would be sachin in the 90s
I don't even think you watch matches considering you are bringing up meme tournaments like legends league cricket in a debate for deciding the GOAT

Smith has a test average of 56 with much larger sample size, you cant seriously compare the two. Smith is legit a part of all time test great debates with Sachin, Gavaskar, bradman, sanga etc
I agree abd is a ODI great, on par with Kohli, Viv Richards and sachin
But he shouldn't be brought up in GOAT batsman debates. The less said about his T20i record the better

Jacques Kaliis is greatest player to ever have played cricket, might possibly be one of the best to have ever played any sport.
Was 3rd down batsman in tests, bowled long spells at decent speed and was one of the best slip fielder of his time. No other cricket player comes close to him.

Sobers is the GOAT all rounder, I will explain in detail here since I watched quite a lot of kallis growing up and read a lot on sobers too, for kallis, he was more of a mechanical "get things done" type player and he was very good at it.
Most other greats had phases in their career where they had real superlative performances that makes one go wow!
The reason is because Sobers, SRT did one thing Kallis wasn't really great at. Dominating. Kallis extremely rarely took control of a game batting. Statistics are nice but they are also misleading.
Kallis batted at such a slow pace that his wicket was a lot safer but he also took pressure off the bowlers. You look at Viv Richards or Gilchrist or Sehwag. When their eye was in the bowlers and captains were terrified of the game basically disappearing in a session or two. Kallis very rarely did that to anyone.
The simple fact is if you want to win you pick Sobers. No question.
This is a breakdown of why I don't rate him an all time great. You have to look at the best teams a player played against to judge them as an all time great. If they can't perform against the best, well... where are their stats coming from? Beating inferior opposition...
So I'm looking at Kallis' notable scores against Australia in Tests - considering Australia had the best bowling attack for most of his career.
Here's the list. Feel free to critique what I picked but basically I chose innings of 90+.
15 off 57 and 101 off 279 balls. Batted dreadfully slow and cost them any chance of a win.
38 off 124 and 99 off 180 - they were annihilated. His first innings is inexcusable for a number 4. That's textbook "how to play the bowlers in".
111 off 275 and 50 off 96 - they ran out of time and had two forced declarations costing them the game. Again batted his team out of the game.
114 off 223 and 7 off 32 - can't blame him here. Was a loss but the rest of the batting crumbled first dig.
93 off 175 - again can't blame him. They were effectively 4-6 first innings with G. Smith out for the match.
102 off 163 - this is a good one. Kept the momentum. Cashed in with 2 teammates.
147 off 274 and 49 off 91 - I'll say he helped save them here.
Ok so one significant contribution to a win and one save in ALL his Test matches against Australia. That is why I don't rate him. He simply didn't turn up against the best opponent.

Consider this:
Don Bradman the most prolific batsman
Viv Richards the most destructive great batsman
Sachin Tendulkar the best all-round batsman
Brian Lara the genuis matchwinner, played big innings and did it in the most scintillating and flamboyant manner.
Kallis was the combination of all but nothing in particular, stand out thing was his resolute attitude.
Sangakkara the modern great. ABD the reincarnation of Viv, unbelievable shots and diverse range.
