Also I will add that modern computing had little to do with the works of Babbage and Lovelace despite them being attributed as founders of Computer Science. In actuality, their contributions to computing had as much influence as antikythera did as all they did was create a theoretical concept that could be the modern computer but isn't.
Modern computing is more a creation of mid century American military scientists and the the actual father of modern computing that british faggot Turing. None of them had any idea about Babbage was proposing when they actually designed the Turing complete modern computer.

Its hard to attribute any one guy or group responsible because its a collective effort. The point is that they had little influence from Babbage, who at that point in history was just some guy who invented a fancy toy and nothing more and their work would have been created independent of Babbage. Its like Heendus discovering some ancient soyntists they knew proposed a theorm almost similar to Calculus and now trying hard to claim credit for Newton when Newton derived his theory independently from that Madhavan.
