Nobody cares about privacy, if they did Whatsapp and Telegram wouldn't be the top most used messaging apps and Facebook and Twitter top most social media apps.
It failed simply because of network effect that I kept telling to that one faggot who thought it would replace Butsapp. Nobody cares about switching if a large number of people already exists in the services they are comfortable with and muh nationalist sentimentality can only work so much.
Especially right wingers in general have more trouble with competing with big tech because most of their adherents aren't serious about their ideology or passively support them unlike leftoids, just look at the success of gab vs bluesky.
