Everything from fresh vegetables to meat, and even the water we drink comes at exorbitant prices.
Worse still, much of it is contaminated and laced with chemicals, hormones, and synthetic additives. What reaches our tables is no longer truly food, but the product of industrial processes a kind of large-scale scientific experimentation imposed on our bodies.
How are human beings expected to endure this existence? Confined to sprawling hive-like cities, breathing air thick with pollution, surrounded by concrete and artificial light, amongst hordes of millions of stinky Pajeets with no peace of mind and time for ourselves cut off from the natural world that shaped our species over millennia.
I, like so many others, spend the prime years of my life as wage slaves, trading irreplaceable time and our life years for meager wages just to survive. This is not the life our bodies or minds were designed for. We were not meant to live in perpetual exhaustion, disconnected from the earth, the seasons, and all the things that once sustained us.
Is there truly no escape from this cycle? Is this the future we must accept for ourselves and for generations to come?
