I found a site selling libre thinkpads with blob free coreboot, debian and wireless cards in India. A little too expensive for the devices they are selling but cheaper compared to importing one from purism or think penguin.
No idea why they are not using libreboot or trisquel instead. Not personally a free software extremist but just posting in case any anons might be interested.

I have become quite pessimistic about the situation of passionate, geeky, experimentation hacker culture in India.
All these Indian startups whose only selling point is that they are "Indian" and more marketing budget than RnD (if any at all).
Cool to see at least some folks are not retarded.
I often discuss with my non-normie friends about starting a business around my interests but often we both come to conclusion that this is too niche and at the end would be more oriented to my interests than being a good business proposition as well
