Got myself this ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 (i5 11th gen, 16GB) at the used market for just 27k just a week ago.

my previous laptop got cooked and as I was already daily driving linux for a few years now, was looking for some laptop that has official linux support (inb4: "you can use linux on any laptop, it can run on a samsung guru" almost always 90% of things would run great but if you are already sure of using linux, why compromise on the 10% ? i.e. drivers for backlight, fingerprint, proper c-state and p-state control exposure from bios for battery life etc etc). my budget was not very limited actually but other than thinkpad you don't have much linux laptop options in India (framework, system76), but even at 1.5 lakhs+ I was unhappy with the new thinkpads (like 60hz at 1.5 lakh? tf? ) at that point I would honestly just go with some decent "regular" laptop and bite the bullet of compromising some QOL and spend half as much. But then I found this deal and for my purposes it's quite enough actually and I don't game much, specially since the last year So I don't care about gaming performance currently but if I want to play something again then I will have to look for something else but till then I am all set for 27k .

Can recommend to checkout your local used hardware shops for decent business laptop deals.

Don't care unless it's obvious like every other sane person. They had "refurbished" it as well and was rather clean (even inside) but I gave some good wipes and vacuum anyway.
