>Ministry of Education directs all offices to adopt ‘Zoho Office Suite’ in alignment with Union Govt’s “pursuit of building a self-reliant ecosystem in technology, hardware and software solutions”.

This is the way, either find an indian solution or go with open source as much as one can.

So if you want to compete with the local or the international market you have to clone their code and sleep with the government to become a successful product?

As an individual, the government will shove premature products onto you while there are better alternatives and the only winner is some capitalist?

No thanks. I will never install this abo software.

>cloning a close sourced project

Yaar rakulchud, don't say shit like that for zoho atleast.

There are n bad faith actors but these guys are not like this.

There's nothing wrong with utilizing open source projects, improving them as long as you are giving it back to the people.

Hence i wish zoho works on a fork of some loonix os.

Zoho didn't bid or bribe government, it's just that they were few of the only choices and government just saw it and adopted it and trying to ride the way together - win win for everyone.

Another good example is mapples, mapmyindia check their app.

breh it's student and babus - options are - ms products / open source projects like libre or zoho products.

Ideally governments should promote open source ones but this is alright too.

I feel very suspicious about this sudden Zoho shilling by the mainstream press and the government tbh.

it's because you guys never followed zoho, they were already there just got the limelight after Modi's speech and recent trump drama.

There's no 56d chess or some under the table deal.

But you guys do you.
