What were the objectives of terror attacks in india, especially those targetting civilians? I can see some practical utility of targetting military personnel(I haven't seen it achieving much, but still), but literally what is the use of targetting civilians? It only ensures you as a terror group get hated, especially if muslims themselves get ack'd, wastes shit ton of resources to train men only for them to later get blown up or ack'd by police/military, etc.? Terror attacks in Sri Lanka by the LTTE had some practical utility, even when civilians were targetted as their population is tiny. But what of lundia that literally harbours a gorrillion jeets who'll only go on to hate you and double down on anti-terror rhetoric & policy? What was the ISI thinking ? They wanted to instill civil unrest and release of their partners from prison. If you listen to the actual recording of the handlers and the shooters during 26/11, the demands they put are release of their partners, granting more autonomy to "hyderabad deccan mujahideen", which doesn't even exist and granting more religious freedom to muslims. They even said to let hyderabad mujahideen build their own separate hyderabad. Outlandish statements like this are great at stirring up civil unrest and they tried to push us into civil war.
