I drew picrel. Admin can have full rights and all. Just swap the AI billi in the corner with this. I'll draw more to cover the other themes.

If you want to suggest any changes, I'll check thread tomorrow morning and do it.

smaller version I made

I respect the decision to put a billa there in the first place (gives it soul). nice site admin

Thanks pyaare, this is really sweet and cute.

I will add them in the upcoming updates. Both are perfect.

You can take inspiration from pic related. Can you experiment with a bit bigger ears in first pic, though i feel these are perfect.

>>9145

really cute

If you have time, would love to see a small BharatChan logo from you. You can dm me the it on

It's not much but if it's fine i would love to reimburse you in some way, anonymously.

WTtEKB

Some directions or suggestions for logo in pic related. Bharat and Chan in next line or in some flow. Besides them a version of cat you drew above with the given reactions. Just face should be enough?

Use your ways.

You can leave anime girls later, would love to see logo first. You can directly DM me the work and let me know so that i can reimburse you in some way.

I should apologise for not posting it in the suggestions thread, I saw it after I'd posted these and I couldn't delete the posts

>really sweet and cute

thanks, man :) I don't suggest you add both, for the sake of cohesion every billi should ideally be the same resolution. So the smaller billa would have to be 1/2 the size of the bigger one, if you do choose to use both.

If you want I can send you un-upscaled copies of my art, dunno if they would load faster or something like that.

>bigger ears/ inspiration from picrel

Gotcha. Is this better? Touched up chota billa as well.

>logo

If you can tell me whether you're using the 64x or 32x cat, I can size the logo around cats of the same size.

>SLIM/ VScode logo

I agree, the paper cutout look is very kino. I'll try doing something like that. What colours should I use?

uNpanw

Quick fix: chhota billa now has a better headband and coloured outlines

WTtEKB

>>9269

>If you want I can send you un-upscaled copies of my art, dunno if they would load faster or something like that.

i tested in local instance and it looks pretty good. I think i can use the lil-billa for threads and big-billa for catalog.

Also, love that these are just under 20kb.

>>9269

>Gotcha. Is this better? Touched up chota billa as well.

Yep.

>If you can tell me whether you're using the 64x or 32x cat, I can size the logo around cats of the same size.

Umm, from google

>Website logos can be any size, but the recommended dimensions are 250 x 150 pixels. Other common dimensions include: 350 x 75 pixels, 400 x 100 pixels, 160 x 160 pixels for vertical layouts, and 468 x 60 pixels for full banners.

So maybe adjust your text within this dimension and then have the cats added to those?

>I agree, the paper cutout look is very kino. I'll try doing something like that. What colours should I use?

Yeah, maybe if you know brahmi characters you can add भारत / 𑀪𑀸𑀭𑀢 𑀘𑁄𑀦 (bharat in brahmi characters) like in vs code they have added japanese as well as english. Brahmi i would recommend because this is a script which connects pretty much all the scripts in Indian subcontinent.

For colors, ig indianred with white bg. And some color inspiration from aryavarta flag.

Also, yes you can send the email for the same so that we can have a verified email chain going and it's easier to manage things that way. Email is same dyaush@bharatchan\.com

Thanks for these anon, also take your time. No hurry.

get rid of the symmetry sir. Looks uncanny.

The eye sparkles are mirrored which make it look like as if billa is looking cross-eyed at a light source overhead.

>billa

Brings a tear to my eye seeing it there. Thanks bhai. One last change I just thought to do - I can add some anti-alias, but then the cat won't work for the Krsna theme (or any dark background)

>resolution

Ok, 350x75 and above will take me much longer so I'll stick with 250x150 or 160x160.

My idea was that every "pixel" on the screen should look the same size, hence I'm trying to keep track of the scale.

>bramhi

I was thinking that myself (though my idea was to use simple devnagri) Brahmi is better, good idea.

Personally i feel convo being open here is more fruitful since other anons can add their suggestions too. Email chain is good so that we can keep good chain of conversation.

So ig use email when one thing is done, like for starters you can share the these pics to get started. For the discussions we will stick to this thread.

Didn't get much done today. But here's a mockup for the logo. I have never made logos before, so any criticism and suggestions are welcome.

Once the rough design is finalized I'll pixel it with some nice additions like two-tone shading.

The "bharat" and "chan" in small letters are there to represent the Bhramhi script, the software I used didn't allow me to put those in directly.

WTtEKB

>>10058

Damn those are really lovely and . In the morning before office work, i was just experimenting with logo at my end, i was wondering if i should just let you focus on characters in the logo to ensure that it's easy going for you too.

Mockup looks great so please carry on, let me know if you feel any burden or any issue. Take your time. Try as many iterations you want.

https://github.com/SAWARATSUKI/ServiceLogos go through her work, she has mentioned font style too. It can give you even more idea.

>The "bharat" and "chan" in small letters are there to represent the Bhramhi script, the software I used didn't allow me to put those in directly.

If you are using photoshop i can guide you on that. Here's the google brahmi font https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Sans+Brahmi

Download it install in the pc. Then ig it should automatically detect in your software even if it's not photoshop.

I really really loved that pixel jaggu you have made so included it in the logo. I feel we should include jaggu. For brahmi, i used that font shared earlier in photoshop. It looks good.

First part in the pic related logo has 'Bharat 𑀘𑁄𑀦 <chan_in_brahmi>' and the second party has '<bharat_in_brahmi>𑀪𑀸𑀭𑀢 chan'. It goes well. With better shadow, outer glow elements It can be reallyy included.

Jaggu really adds a bit of life into it.

WTtEKB

>>10065

I forgot to add, maybe we can also include our inch logo too.

Take your time anon, in the meantime i will experiment with logo style at my end and see how things go. Will use this thread for those updates.

skbqmF

>>9828

Well, I have shipped it now, anon. Do you have any specific suggestions as to colour? I'll come back to it later if it hasn't been implemented by then. I don't want to stick to one image for too long, it becomes mind-numbing rather quickly.

>>10065

Good think I have a habit of pressing refresh before posting, I would have missed this just now.

>logo experiments

The font is what scares me. Some angles may have to be adjusted to ensure they conform to the grid. So having more than one option is a plus.

Your logo is pretty good as well, my only feedback is that the "chan" next to Bharat seems to be sidelined a bit while the "bharat" next to Chan has a lot of room. But I don't have any ideas on fixing this.

>those logos

I want to print them out and eat them. Amazing. Love the Julia and Vim logos. Will take a proper look tomorrow morning.

>photoshop

No, I'm using an online editor called Pixlr. Don't know if it'll take user-supplied fonts. But having that font to look at will be a great help nonetheless.

Yep got it, it's just for testing, once i get time maybe will try few things. Just liked the cohesion of brahmi characters with english and jaggu there.

>>10077

>No, I'm using an online editor called Pixlr. Don't know if it'll take user-supplied fonts. But having that font to look at will be a great help nonetheless.

There's a software called Krita, free and open source. It does support native fonts. Pic related.

Kal se wahi kar raha hu pyaare. pls give feedback while you're here, too

y0hC1C

some aspects I would like feedback on

1. Is the Ashok Chakra a good background?

2. Pastel-ish colour scheme acchi hai?

3. Should I draw a new jaggu for use here?

For now I just added jaggu to this logo, but I have an idea I will draw out by tomorrow. The online software I use to make this spazzed out, will move my shit to Krita now

WTtEKB

>>10990

Omg it is perfect. :animu_thumbps_up:

>1. Is the Ashok Chakra a good background?

I genuinely love that ashoka chakra in the bg, but in logo i think we should try to have rectangle space so ig atleast keep it optional, additional option (ig it won't be too difficult to add it in the bg?).

>2. Pastel-ish colour scheme acchi hai?

Love it. Green can also go a bit 'neutral', i feel it is more saturated than bharat one. But it looks good.

>3. Should I draw a new jaggu for use here?

No Sir this is perfect. Love the placement of jaggu. In place of mini 'bharat' and 'chan' if you can add that brahmi version then it would be complete.

This is really great anon. Love it! Looks good to me, other anons who want to chip in they can suggest too.

IA/B4E

>>10994

>sticker

Didn't know about these emojis :pepe_noted:

>Ashok Chakra

Hmm, makes sense. Removal is simple enough, just hide that layer.

>green

Alright, will try to tone it down a little.

Adding the Bramhi is a little annoying. I found out how to import system fonts into Pixlr. But Bramhi text is still unsupported. I guess I just have to remake it in Krita.

WTtEKB

>>11194

>I guess I just have to remake it in Krita.

krita has pretty bad font handling. You can do one thing. Leave brahmi addition to me. You can focus on the rest part.

I will try to fill the brahmi text later once you share using photoshop. If you think it's feasible.

IyWo3s

>>11229

Here's the new problem: you need to pay to download the wonderful font I used. (Desmodus) To be frank I don't know how to pirate fonts. So I think a 1:1 remake of this in Krita may be off the table for now.

If you really want to do the Bramhi script yourself, here's the specs I used for the small text:

>Size: 58

>Outine colour #edecd

>Fill colour #3cb36b for "chan", #a8534b for "bharat"

IyWo3s

>>11489

On closer inspection, the large cats make it seem a touch unbalanced. I shrunk them, but Pixlr only allows me to export three images a day. Such is the life of cloud software users

WTtEKB

>>11489

>Here's the new problem: you need to pay to download the wonderful font I used. (Desmodus) To be frank I don't know how to pirate fonts. So I think a 1:1 remake of this in Krita may be off the table for now.

Ooo i almost forgot to add about this, whatever font you are using ensure that there's no licensing drama so no piracy nothing. In photoshop we can twist and turn texts, so maybe can try that to get some style.

if you are having too many issues let me know. I have photoshop, you can focus on creating/drawing the cats inspired from oc version you created or your choice as long as they have similar reaction

IyWo3s

>>11522

The designs so far have been made w/o any piracy and other such lafda, don't worry. It's just downloading the font myself instead of being tied to a software that is the issue. Twisting and turning isn't really the way to go, I think I can find a good geometric font that's free to use or open license.

Just to clarify: do you want me to pixelate the two emoji cats, the whole logo, or nothing at all?

WTtEKB

>>11529

okay anon great

>Just to clarify: do you want me to pixelate the two emoji cats, the whole logo, or nothing at all?

no no, just jaggu is enough.

y0hC1C

I will have to learn PS or Krita to do this effectively, so this is where I'm going to let it rest for now. good night chaps

>>11532

Yeh logo banana thoda bhaari pad rha hai. Krita really is pretty shit at handling text (which is a death sentence.)

However I have taken the opportunity to go back to pixel art, and tackle the image loading animation.

Picrel is an idea. Instead of just a cat standing, we can have a cat being pet by a hand moving up and down.
