Also I can't relate to this, yeah I have seen muslim blue collar workers, but I have seen a lot of hindu ones too, christian ones I haven't seen any.
Anyways one reason that comes to my mind is LC hindus are often drunkards and bad work ethic, compared to them muslims (often from tbe same caste) dont have alcohol problem + better work ethic cuz discipline built in their religion (5 times prayers etc)

Could agree, Soythies were probably too soft on them. I feel like it makes sense that Avarnia did convert to islam since their line of work made it naturally unsuited for them to be Hindus by the stricter harsher law of Manusmriti.
