someone took images of me and my younger brother from my father's instagram and made a new profile out of it. it's because of religious matters, since my dad does some work that goes against his religion, and ig that pissed someone off. i don't wanna share too much cause i don't wanna get doxxed, but that's the context. i'm not even on social media, i've never even used shitstagram in my life. i'm just some khvv loner incel who barely even goes outside. i made a cyber crime complaint from my dad's phone because he told me to do so, but idk if it'll even do anything. it just sucks. mikasa was right, this world is too cruel. i feel really helpless about it. what can i actually do now, /b/ros? should i try messaging instagram too? anyone ever been in a similar situation?

Since you already have filed a cyber crime complaint wait for the police to call you. They will call you for recording your statements. After that just wait for them to catch the accused. In case they find them, the trial will commence and it'll take a couple of years to conclude.

False personification is a pretty big crime and whoever did it is retarded enough to not have a layered IP tunnel. Wait for 12 hours, but if that is not doing it, move on to actually cyber police station, if you are underage explain your issues with honesty.

Don't let it get to you yaar, it happens. All you need to do is go to the cyber paalis station and tell them the problem. In the meanwhile make sure your personal identity, numbers, your family and so on are not available online beyond what you may need to show the police
It helps a cyber police officer if you have screen shot, as well as timing of harassment. Having a lawyer allows you to basically rape someone to their sense and throw them in a cell for 10 years with right contacts, but that's besides the point. Sort out the detail of the person, his link, do not warn him or any such stuff. Just have his ID link saved well, with screen shots of him using your profile pictures.
Report even smallest crime, a verbal abuse, any form of harassment, even a rude tone with a little exaggeration (don't outright lie) the cops love that, helps them solidify the case and they oil up the sariya. Pretty amazed this kind of shit still is flying solely because no one reports this shit.
