I hate returning to India from the USA. Every time it feels like shit because of the pollution and traffic and shitty behaviour of public.
I don't support racism again Indians at all, but honestly India is a shithole. The QoL difference between India and USA is too massive. Trump saheb won't allow us to stay in America so I have to eventually return permanently, no choice.
How to cope and get on with it? My coping strategy is deluding myself into thinking that India will become developed country by 2047.

Theoretically is it even possible for India to become high HDI country within our lifetime? Modi is saying by 2047. But we know that's literally impossible. But at least when I'm 80-90 years old I want to see India at an HDI of 0.8. But will this translate to cleaner roads and first world tier infrastructure?
One of the reputation issues of India is brown skin. Brown skin automatically makes you look inferior. So imagine a clean place like an airport. But it's full of brown skinned Indian manlets. It still looks like a shit hole.

Call me crazy but skin colour is more important than bone structure and height. Dark skin automatically reduces your SMV. Chinese people are ugly as fuck in real life, but they still have a better image than us because of lighter skin.

Anyway the economic situation and pollution won't change in our lifetime. But we can hope that our grandchildren live in better times. NRI kids are generally taller and have better grooming. This is proof that environment and diet can change looks.
Development+ cleaner environment+ positive media representation can save India maybe a 100 years from now

i am unironically moving back to Bangalore after my f1 visa expires in 5 years. I am tired and sick of the fake and superficial nature of everyone here. The only thing that keeps me here is the sheer intelligence of my peers and professors and the egoistical drive to work harder than everyone to be better than them
You cannot do the same in India, because everyone is looking for the stability and comfort in a cushy white-collar job. There is no spirit, no ambition
But after I get my double degrees in engineering and physics i'll be the first one to book it. I don't like how desis are treated as second-class citizens in white countries and i will not give the fruit of my labour to groups that look down on me. I would rather use it to improve the sole homeland I have so my descendants do not have to consider moving out of the country for a better future

Lodu stop pipe dreaming. What exactly it is that you can do to "improve" India as an individual?
As you rightly said, no real research or engineering happens in India. The best you can do is get some meme job and buy a flat in some gates community and hire a driver so you can stay away from the horrible roads and infrastructure. It's impossible to replicate the atmosphere of American university towns or suburbs in India. I was thinking of saving money to buy property near Ooty or Wayanad so I can keep my sanity.

Funnily enough I have never faced racism in real life from white people. All the racism I've faced in the USA was from other Asians: Chinese, Koreans, even Sri Lankans lmao.
The main reason Indians are hated is because of aesthetics. We look and sound unattractive to other people. The only real solution is to looksmaxx and change our accent.
