In Hinduism people get protection of kuldevta and pitrus.
Kuldevta is your family god who tries to protect your family and lineage from major crisis while pitrus are your ancestors still in pitru realm. They can act as gaurdian angels based on their choice. Some say you should remember and keep them satisified so they keep you protected.
Some lucky people get this protection for entire lifetime because of karma of their ancestors or their own past life karma. They can be athiest and jerks but still this keeps them protected.
Ishta devta is also there as other anons specified but for protection pitrus and kuldevta/devi are first.

Mbbs is already a cursed course if you compare it with med courses outside and on top of that we have to fucking write so many useless assignments and what not in the age of fucking AI. Attendance is everything here and these fuckers dont even give holidays before exams and extort money from low attendance students
I am already low on attendance because going to "college" made me want to kms daily and it was hard to cope in the beginning. This field is already cursed so is the course and the country and i have got the worst of the worst college in 21st century too
I cant leave it too because of hefty fees of priv colleges.
Only thing i can do is develop myself the best i can mentally, spiritually and physically in a time where its hard for me to even get out of bed.
Everything is over because of some absurd fucking reasons
